Before You Call for Emergency Service

Sometimes a heating issue has a simple cause. Before calling for emergency service, please check the following:

  • Check your thermostat batteries. Weak or dead batteries can prevent your thermostat from turning the heat on.
  • Make sure your thermostat is set to Heat.
  • Raise the temperature setting above the current room temperature.
  • Check that the emergency switch for your heating system is turned on.
  • Make sure your circuit breaker has not tripped.
  • Check your oil tank gauge to see if you may be out of fuel.

If you have checked these items and your heating system is still not working, call Holliston Oil for emergency service.
